We couldn’t be more pleased. Our first exhibition was a truly gorgeous display of repurposing, collaboration, imagination and thinking outside of the…suitcase! All 15 submissions received looked absolutely spectacular on display together.

Arts Murihiku’s gallery curator Bindy Anderson and Anna van Riel were helped by a small team of artists who supported us to set the exhibition up on June 1st.

Both Arts Murihiku and our team here at The Wanda Foundation would like to extend a huge thank you to all of our incredible artists who put so much effort into their submissions, and also to all the wonderful individuals and groups who contributed suitcases to the cause. Some of our suitcases had remarkable stories of their own, sporting monograms from many moons ago and from oceans away.

In case you missed it, HERE is a lovely story printed in the ODT this month about the exhibition.

Once again, a huge thank you from all of us at The Wanda Foundation, Whare Taupua and Arts Murihiku.
This project has been a delight, and we appreciate your mahi, your support and of course, for  supporting positive environmental change through the arts.

Together, we inspired our community and each other. Great work!

Shine on!
